Kundapur: Karnataka Bank’s M S Mahabaleshwar Bhat conferred with Panchavarna Rajyotsava award

Kundapur, Nov 18: Swasthi Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Panditacharyavarya Sripadangala of Moodbidri Jain Math said that Panchavarna had given new shape to Kannada Rajyotsava by giving a meaning of good feeling for others.

Swamiji gave his blessings at the Panchavarna Rajyotsava award programme that was held under the title Rajyotsava Sadbhavana 2022 organized by Panchavarna Yuvaka Mandala and Panchavarna Mahila Mandala of Kota as part of their silver jubilee celebrations.

Swamiji further said, “Panchavarna have given pace to the social work by conveying the message that we all are one.

“Minds of Kannadigas is great. Karnataka is a land of well-mannered and well cultured people. Our language pride is spread all over the world. People of Karnataka have always shown their richness of heart.

“Panchavarna has worked like the five senses. The work of spreading the fragrance of Kannada is appreciable. Our Kannada bank is identified in national and international level. It is really meaningful to felicitate the MD of such a bank.

“Every household should plant a tree. Priority should be given to agriculture. Speak Kannada language every day at home,” he said.

The programme was inaugurated by Anand C Kunder, president of Kota Amritheshwari temple. Achiever in the banking sector, managing director of Karnataka bank, Mahabaleshwara Bhat was felicitated on the occasion.

Amrit Jogi, president of Panchavarna Yuvaka Mandala, presided over the programme. Dr Rajendra S Nayaka, principal of Koteshwara Varadaraja Shetty government first grade college gave the introductory speech. K Anantapadmanabha Aithal, trustee of Saligrama Sri Gurunarasimha temple gave the congratulatory speech.

Samruddi Mahila Mandala Cherkady were awarded Panchavarna special award. Special congratulations were offered for Arjun Bhandarkar, chief of Save Life Charitable Trust Mangaluru and Niswartha Seva trust Kota. Talent award was given to Samruddi Kundapur, winner of drama junior award.

Rice and other ration materials were handed over to Vinayachandra Sastana of Manipal Saralebettu Holabelaku orphanage. Scholarships and funds were given to local primary schools. Students who won the essay competition that was held recently at Kota Hobali level were given certificates. Chair was handed over to Kalmady anganwadi.

The guests included Saligrama Pattana panchayat president Sulata S Hegde, Vericose specialist of Shringeri Dr M V Urala, psychologist Dr C Prakash Tolar, eEntrepreneur from Mumbai Badamane Ratnakar Shetty, trustee of Pandeshwar Rakteshwari temple K V Ramesh Rao, president of All Karnataka Natha Pantha Jogi Samaja Seva Samiti Devraj Jogi, president of Ganiga Samaja Seva samiti Mumbai B V Rao, chief of Sristi engineering Manipal Jayaraj V Shetty, entrepreneur M C Chandrashekara, founder president of Panchavarna Yuvaka Mandala Shevadi Suresh Ganiga, honorary president Satish H Kunder, president of panchavarna Mahila mandala Kalavati Ashok and honorary president Kusuma Devadiga were present.

Chandra Acharya, honorary advisor of Panchavarna welcomed the gathering, executive president Ravindra Kota did the introductory speech, secretary Nitin Kumar Kota read the report. The programme was compered by Satishchandra Shetty, Physical director of Chitrapady school. Member of mahila mandala Sujata Bayari rendered vote of thanks. Lecturer Raghavendra Tunga coordinated. Head teacher of Nittur school Santosh Kumar Kota cooperated.

Renowned drama team of Mangaluru Cha Parka presented Naayi Baala drama.

M S Mahabaleshwara Bhat, MD of Karnataka bank said, “We should not go behind award, it should find us. This is the saying of our elders. The growth of this yuvaka mandala is fabulous. This is a programme that needs to be followed at state and national level. We should mingle with organizations like this and cooperate. This is not an honour that is given to me but to Karnataka Bank. Karnataka Bank has created a new chapter in the banking sector.”
