Kundapur, Nov 20: The city police are continuing their investigation with regards to the mysterious death of senior dentist of Badiadka Dr Krishnamurthy Sarpangala.
It is said that the doctor travelled to Siddapur from Kundapur before his death. In the CCTV footage at Shastri Circle the doctor is seen carrying a bag. However, the bag is still not traced.
The mutilated body of the doctor, who went missing from his Badiadka clinic on November 8, was found on the railway tracks at Kaduajjimane of Hattiangadi village on November 9.
As seen in the CCTV footage, the deceased doctor arrived at Kundapur bus stand on a KSRTC bus and enquired with a person about the way to go to Moodlakatte railway station. Later he left on a bus that goes to Siddapur. It is suspected that he might have gotten down from the bus at Moodlakatte or in between the way and walked on the railway tracks.
While rechecking the railway tracks, the spectacle, belt and footwear worn by the doctor were found. Police are intensely searching for the missing bag as they strongly suspect that the doctor might have written a death note or the bag might contain a clue that will be vital in the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Manjeshwar police have registered a case on 56 people who took out a protest march at Paivalike urging comprehensive investigation in the death case of the doctor.
