Sullia, Nov 24: Four teams of police are formed to investigate the case of a young woman whose mortal remains were found in a gunny bag in a rented house at Beeramangala near here. It is learnt that the identity of the deceased woman is still not confirmed.

Police are on manhunt for accused Imran Sheikh and also to find out the identity of the deceased woman.

Imran Sheikh

According to the complaint filed by Santhosh, a case is registered in Sullia police station. Imran Sheikh was working as a helper since eight months and was living in rented house at Beeramangala. Within 15 days of joining work, Imran left for his native place West Bengal, got married and brought his differently-abled wife along with him. He was in the room in the complex in which the bar is situated for 15 days with his wife. His wife used to move around with the help of a walking stick and was wearing a burqa.

Later Imran moved with his wife to the rented house where he used to reside before and used to come from the house to bar for work. A month ago, Imran told the bar owner that his wife is pregnant and would like to take her to native place. He took the salary on November 19.

Keerthan, resident of Bettampady, who works in the same bar as suspect Imran, used to drop Imran every day after work to his rented house.

On November 21, Keerthan told bar owner Santhosh that Rohit, who lives in the rented house next to Imran, had heard screams at around 7.30 pm on November 20 from the house of Imran. When Rohit went to Imran’s house and enquired, Imran said that his wife fell in the washroom. Santhosh, owner of the bar, who came to know about this incident called up Imran on Tuesday morning. But his mobile phone was switched off.

When Keerthan and Santhosh went to the rented house of Imran at Beeramangala, the door was closed but window was open and the light was on. When they peeped through the window, they saw the mobile phone on table and light of washroom on. They saw a plastic bag inside the washroom.

On enquiry with neighbour Rohit, Santhosh came to know that only Imran has left the house with a bag in hand on November 20 at around 8.30 pm without his wife.

Santhosh suspected that Imran must have killed his wife and informed the police. When police opened the door and did the spot inspection, they found mortal remains of Imran’s wife.

The mortal remains of young woman is kept in the mortuary of Mangaluru government hospital. Police are investigating further.

Charcoal can never be white even if we use fair & lovely into to it. Dog’s tail cannot be straightened even if we put into a pipe for years. Firstly, they must sincerely follow Gods Holy scripture and respect other girls/ladies as they respect their own.

In your Sharia law is the punishment same for a muslim raping Hindu woman or killing a Hindu woman & muslim raping a muslim woman and killing her?. I am told that it is treated differently.

So many times we are out of answer why marriage is a requirement in life???... Especially in the case of a woman, she is compelled by every situation around her once she starts crossing the so called marriageable age.... Decisions are taken with little thought about the possible future... Standing on one's own feet is more necessary than getting ripped by a seemingly unknown monster in the skin of human... He had no right to kill her... RIP to the departed soul...
