Karkala: Senior health inspector abused over delay in meat stall trade licence issue, complaint file

Karkala, Nov 25: Senior health inspector of town municipality filed a complaint against a man accusing him of using abusive language towards the inspector while on duty at the office for delay in issuing a trade licence to open a meat stall.

According to details, Laila Thomas (44), who works as a senior health inspector in the town municipality was on duty on November 24. At around 4 pm accused Umesh Kallotte arrived at the office and screamed at Laila over the delay in issuing a trade licence to run a mutton stall for which he had applied earlier.

Complainant Laila asked the accused to ask about the delay with the higher officer. Accused Umesh got enraged and abused senior health inspector Laila and also threatened her.

A complaint in this regard is registered in Karkala city police station as per the complaint given by Laila.
