Beltangady, Nov 26: The Netravati Bachao movement committee held a gathering at Dharmastala Manjunatheshwara Kalabhavan on Saturday. Committee chief convener KPCC chief secretary Rakshit Shivaram presided.

Rakshit Suvarna said it is not right for us to remain quiet over abuse of the river. There will be campaigns over 40% commission, corruption, discrimination over Akrama Sakrama and other violations, he said.

District panchayat member Dharanendra Kumar, K K Shahul Hameed spoke. Thousands of people took part. Committee convener Shekar Kukkedi, K K Shahul Hameed, Dharanendra Kumar, Namita Poojary were present.

Advocate Manohar Kumar compered the programme.
