Kasargod: Student dies of electric shock while operating water pump

Kasargod, Nov 29: In a tragic incident that is reported from Saya near Perla in the district, a plus one student got electrocuted due to shock from the water pump.

Jithes (17), who was student of Katukukke higher secondary school, is the unfortunate victim of this tragedy. The incident occurred in the pump shed near his house at Sayaguligemole. When he went to put off the water pump, he got electrocuted.

Though his family members and locals rushed him to Vittal hospital, he could not be saved.

Badiyadka police have registered a case.

    Very sad.kindly wear footwear during your work with electricity without fail.I see many neglect this saying nothing happens.we did it before.Electric connections in India are nt safe.Noone cares .wire is joined anywhere and anybody .Now starts season of xmas and busy connecting and joining all types of festival lights .Be careful.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to his parents

    Sad. Every electric wiring must have a electric leakage circuit breaker. IIt is designed in such a way that it stops the flow of electric current even if there is small leakage. It costs little extra money but then life is more precious.
