Kasargod: Car hits a roadside tree - Mother, child die, 4 injured

Kasargod, Dec 12: A car lost control and hit a roadside tree, a mother and her child travelling in it died and four of their co-passengers suffered injuries on Monday, December 12.

The incident happened at Parappa, Kerala and Karnataka border on Monday evening, December 12.

The deceased are Galimukha Golithadi residents Shahina (28), wife of Shanu and their daughter Shaza (2). Out of the four people injured, two are in critical condition and admitted in a hospital at Sullia.

They were on their way to attend a wedding function when their Innova car lost control, toppled down from the road and hit a tree. Local people pulled out those who were stuck in the car and admitted them to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased mother and child are kept in Sullia morgue to be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.

Adoor station police have visited the spot and are conducting investigations.
