Mangaluru, Dec 19: Konaje police busted a narcotic drugs trafficking network and arrested four people in this connection.

MDMA and ganja worth Rs two lac was being transported in a car from Bengaluru to Taudugoli of Naringana village on the outskirts of the city on Sunday December 18.

Acting on definite tip-off, a police team led by Konaje PSI Sharanappa conducted the raid at Boliyar on the Sunday night and arrested four accused who were transporting prohibited narcotic drugs in an Alto car.

The arrested accused are Moideen Hafiz (36), Mohammed Siraz (43), both residents of Naringana village, Iqbal (30) from Adyarkatte, Valachil and Mohammed Azeez (33), a resident of Ashoknagar.

The police confiscated four kilos of ganja and 40 grams of MDMA worth Rs 2.10 lac and an Alto car worth Rs two lac from the arrested accused.

Konaje police station personnel Shivakumar, Purushottam, Shailendra, Deepak, Suresh, Hemant and Ghouse were involved in the operation along with PSI Sharanappa.
