CBI raids educational institution owned by KPCC president D K Shivakumar

Bengaluru, Dec 19 (IANS): The sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday conducted raids on educational institution owned by Karnataka Congress President D.K. Shivakumar in Bengaluru.

The sleuths raided the National Education Foundation located in Rajarajeshwarinagar in Bengaluru and conducted verification of documents. Shivakumar is the chairman of the foundation and his daughter Ishwarya is the secretary.

Shivakumar stated that CBI has conducted raids on his educational institutions. "They (CBI) are conducting inquiries on our land and business. Our family is being hounded by the investigating agencies," he said.

"All probing agencies have lodged complaints and conducted investigations. CBI officers have issued notices to my partners and relatives and got the information. I have not done anything wrong and I don't fear," Shivakumar stated.

The investigating agencies are being used to target opponents. The main objective is to torture Congress leaders through the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax Department (I-T) and CBI, Shivakumar explained.

"I will believe in the judiciary and God. BJP MP V. Srinivasprasad has spoken about money transactions during operation lotus carried by BJP. Srinivasprasad had stated that money was given to BJP MLC H. Vishwanath. There are statements on making payments of Rs 5 to 6 crore for the post of the Governor. Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has also given a similar statement. The investigating agencies have not issued any notices to them. No one is questioning even as a huge money transaction is discussed," Shivakumar reacted angrily.

Shivakumar stated that the agencies are being used to snub Congress leaders. Earlier, notice were issued for gifting of mobiles, he said.

Their P/L and Balance Sheet is published on a quarterly basis in Finance Magazines. Providing jobs to Millions of workers around the Globe . DKS has still to answer the source of his income , and the huge wealth by being only a 'Social Worker'.

    CBI should act irrespective of political party. A normal party worker earned multi crores of properties just by entering politics for 10-15 years . Why there is no CBI raid... no enquiry? How Karandlaje madam made so much money .. Her family is from agricultural family. If they earn in legal ways it will take 2000 years to make so much benami properties... Any one have guts for a CBI enquiry on her properties ... Her brother named benami properties !

    Fair enough Shivakumar made lot of money it is claimed illegally but what about BJP leaders who have note counting machines. Disgrace to CBI, ED etc who condone corruption and money gained illegally by BJP. What happened to 40% commission?. I can remember one BJP Delhi leader was shouting from rooftops in every spearhead about Congress 10% commission. Why is he silent now?.

    EVERY Politician has their school to evade tax and other perks from the govt. Because of these cunning politicians, education become a business and poor people can't afford it. As per the constitution, everyone has a right to get an education free from the govt or fewer fees to avail of the education. These people are not willing to provide free education to the poor because of votes. Education to all is their enemy and if everyone gets educated they won't get easy votes. So, the endpoint is to arrest everyone who goes against the constitution.

    One good thing is that in the urge to be CM, DKS will easily get rid of arrogant Sidduramullah same way that Siddu made Parameshi loose. Hence Siddu is not informing any constituency anywhere, one more thing, in 2018 Siddu fearing loss in Chamuneshwari, Siddu ran to minority infested Badami, but this time as KPCC President, DKS will not allow that. Siddu is doomed and worried and hence doing this spy work on DKS institutions.

    Not surprising. DKS was always tainted . its still a mystery how he amassed so much of wealth by just being a Social worker. No use playing a victim card now. He just want to become the CM to waive of these cases.
