Another Mangalorean Excels: Vanessa Fernandes Tops CBSE in Doha

Doha, May 24 : Another Mangaloren student in the Gulf has excelled in this year's CBSE class XII exams, this time from Doha.
Vanessa Fernandes of Birla Public School, Doha has clinched the top position in commerce stream with 96% percent.
Vanessa is the daughter of Henry and Veronica Fernandes, hailing from Karkala.
Vanessa scored 100 in business studies, and 95 each in English, economics, maths and accountancy.
Speaking to Daijiworld from Doha, Vanessa says she aims to pursue business administration (finance) from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, and her dream is to become a financial analyst.
"I am very ecstatic on being the commerce topper in Qatar and especially because my hard work has paid off. I am thankful to the Almighty for showering his choicest blessings on me and also grateful to my parents for constantly encouraging and motivating me. A major part of the credit also goes to all my teachers who always supported me. I am indeed very proud to be a student of Birla Public School, Qatar."
