Belthangady: Annual day celebration held at Holy Redeemer School

Belthangady, Dec 21: The Holy Redeemer English Medium School here celebrated its annual day on December 20 at 5:30 pm in the Church ground with granduer.

The programme was presided over by correspondent Fr Joseph Cardoza. Fr Jason Vijay Monis, headmaster of Loreto English Medium School, Bantwal was the chief guest. Deacon Joel Preetham Rego of Holy Redeemer Church, Pauline Rego, secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Vincent T D'Souza, coordinator of Parish Pastoral Council, Bonaventure Pinto, vice-president of PTA, Aloysius Lobo, former vice president of Parish Pastoral Council and Rennie Vas, headmistress of Church Higher Primary School were the guests of honour.

Members of the school management committee, PTA Members, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, alumni and students were present.

Headmaster Fr Clifford Simon Pinto welcomed the gathering. Assistant headmistress Blendin Rodrigues presented the school annual report.

A video was presented on the school activities and programmes. The rank holders of SSLC Board Examination 2021-22 were felicitated.

Students excelling in the academics, sports and other co-curricular activities were awarded and the School Squad Championship trophy was presented to the squad leaders. Under the theme, 'Unity in Diversity' all students entertained the gathered with various classwise cultural events and showcased their talents.

Teacher Divya proposed a vote of thanks. Teacher Preetha D'Souza compered the stage programme and Students Samhitha and Allen compered the cultural programme.
