Mangaluru, Dec 24: This Christmas will be a special one, especially for the Mangalorean community in India and abroad, with 'Sangeet Sardar' Wilson Olivera's, Konkani music album 'Classic Cool', (Volume 8) releasing on 25th December, 2022. With lyrics and tunes from Wilson Olivera himself and music by Roshan D'Souza of Angelore, the album will see a host of well-known names from the Konkani music industry.
'The album, 'Classical Cool' is a special dedication to all generations of Konkani music lovers as it is a perfect blend of soul-warming lyrics (which Konkani music is known for), as well new-age, foot-tapping music. In the album will be songs like 'Ghoddeall Ravonk Zata' by Wilson Olivera, 'Elvina' by Pradeep Pinto, 'Tip Tip Awaz' by Shilpa Cutinha, 'Pavsant Bhizanaka' by Robin & Carol Sequeira, 'Dolleani Dukam Thembe' by Indian idol finalist - Nihal, 'Mog Naka Mhunn' by Prashanth Pinto. A few other numbers in the album are, 'Jivant Kitemxem Bhogta', by Babita Pinto, 'Vigar’, by Wilson Olivera & Chorus', 'Teenage' by Stuart Olivera, 'Monica' by Zeena Pereira, 'Mog Mhaka Pett'la Tuzo' by Wilson Olivera & Preema D'souza, the remix of the most famous 'Chan'ne Udelam' by Robin Sequeira, and the heart warming, 'Burgim Bharat Mathechim', once again by Wilson Olivera & Chorus.
‘Classic Cool’ is Wilson Olivera’s brainchild and his 8th Konkani music album. Apart from the 54 music shows he has conducted in Mangalore, Udupi, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bangalore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Muscat, Wilson Olivera has also been awarded the prestigious ‘Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy’, ‘Divo Sahitya Puraskar', ‘Sandesha Award’, ‘Varado Preran Prashasti’, ‘Konkan Samaj Puraskar’, as well as titles such as 'Sangeet Sardar' and 'Konkan Manik'. He has also given the music and lyrics to the superhit Konkani movie, 'Nasheebacho Khel'. With the expertise of such a Music Maestro himself, 'Classical Cool', is all set to set your hearts on fire and leave you with a sweet feeling of home in your hearts.
The album is recorded at the well-known RD Studio, Mangaluru and Siena Studio, Dubai and has Daijiworld.com and Radio Daijiworld, as its media and radio partners, respectively.
