Mangalore, May 26: In a shootout reported in the city on Thursday May 26 evening, unidentified persons attacked a builder near Kadri Park here at around 8 pm.

The assailants attempted an attack on Suresh Bhandary of Prithvi Builders. They were on bikes and aimed at Bhandary's car with a guns, but fled the place immediately. No one was hurt.

The Kadri police arrived on the spot and found bullets on the road. Bhandary's car, which was damaged, has been taken to Bunder police station.

However, the bullets were found to be fake, and the attack seems to be more of a threat than an attempt to murder.

Following the shootout, tight security was deployed at the spot.

Mangalore has become mini-mumbai, as many gangsters / black money rich people have shifted from Mumbai to Mangalore. These people will pour all their money into real estate to get 300% margin in a shorttime. So land disputes will increase, cheating, robbery, murder will all rise. Everything for the sake of grabbing real estate business. There will be disputes within the family over land share. Don't be surplised if govt. lands are all grabbed by gangsters, first by creating slums there and thereafter forging the documents to claim the land in the name of some private developers with the help of corrupt politicians (of all parties) and babus. Don't be shocked if the locals are forced to migrate elsewhere, as in Mangalore / Udupi district only rich people could afford to stay. Be prepared you coward voters
