BJP to go solo in Karnataka Assembly polls: Amit Shah

Bengaluru, Jan 1 (IANS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Saturday that the ruling BJP in Karnataka will go solo in next year's Assembly elections.

Addressing a convention of BJP booth presidents at the Palace Grounds here, Shah urged the party workers to ensure victory for the saffron party.

"It is a direct contest. JD(S) and Congress are two sides of the same coin. Voting for JD(S) is as good as voting for the Congress in Karnataka," Shah said.

He also expressed confidence that the BJP will win 21 seats in Bengaluru, and form the government in Karnataka.

"The party workers should leave behind all other work and focus on achieving victory for the BJP," Shah said.

Shah also said that the BJP would attain majority and finish off casteism and family politics in the southern state.

He urged the voters of Bengaluru and Karnataka that they should decide whether they support patriots or go with parties which support tukde-tukde gangs in the country.

"For BJP, vote-bank politics is not important. The security of the nation is important," he said.

In K'Nataka, right from 1998 Assembly elections, BJP has emerged as single largest party, albeit missing out only in 2013 when party split into two other splinter groups, showing clearly faith people of state in the party. This time, in 2023 April elections, surely BJP will get absolute majority no doubt in that

He says party workers to ensure victory of BJP and not his minister’s credibility and merit. People very well know who the party workers are none but street criminals and rapists. No word from him about any development, better education status for youth, social justice, employment, controlling inflation and business improvement strategies as tools to win people’s confidence and win elections. Is this a govt need to be elected for our and children’s self destruction????…

The biggest fear is AAP that has grown tremendously . Also SDPI in the fray .These 2 parties will split the Congress vote big time and spoil its prospects. Congress moreover has nothing new to offer or look forward to. Its the same old ageing candidates with the same strategy. For sure JDS may become the King maker and perhaps even rule.

BJP are experts post election ...so now solo .. does not matter as separate strategies post elections...... (basically upper caste Brahmin domination.....).. Splitting parties .. breakaway mlas .. horse trading .. (why a noble animal brought in not sure ..into politics ..).. There is no accountability on money spent .. electoral bonds .. EVM .. VVPAT .. Dummy candidates .... Major electoral reforms needed .. Debar candidates who jump parties 6 years etc etc ..

"finish off casteism" ;) ;) ;). Casteism is in your DNA. When a child is born in the upper caste, it is put in his mind that he is superior and other castes are inferior and to look down upon them and make them slaves.

I think that BJP will not cross 100 seats in coming Assembly election. At present day situation they will be in between 80 to 100 seats.
