Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Jan 1: The Uppinangady police arrested a man accused of taking his 14-year-old neighbour girl, who had gone to school for an annual day programme, on the pretext of dropping her home and sexually assaulting her in a nearby hill at Puccheri of Nelyadi.

On December 29, the victim girl had gone for the school programme with her parents, grandfather and sister. After a while, the parents, grandfather and sister left from school and the victim girl said that she will go home after watching the complete programme.

After the school day was over, Chethan, neighbour of the victim girl, made her believe that he would drop her home, made her sit on his bike and took her to a nearby hill and sexually assaulted her. In addition, he left the girl in a nearby forest at midnight. The girl walked back to the hill and stayed there till morning. Parents of the girl went in search of her and found her on the hill. On inquiry, the girl narrated the ordeal.

The girl is admitted to hospital. A case under POCSO is registered by Uppinangady police. They have taken Chethan into custody and further investigation is on.

Check Chethans contacts. The victims are similar like in Seer case. 'Minors'. Aisi ghinoni harkat ke liye faasi ki saza bhi kamm hai. The parents are equally responsible. Which parent will leave a minor girl alone knowing there are wolves around. Khatra bahot hai.

Ivan chickmagalore /Muscat,by shooting him his crime cant be wiped off .Girl must have completely gone shocked.Govt is not punishing assaulters heavily. This must in new year. Some woman said keep ready sharp knife if someone comes to take away cows or girls.May be girls should be alert when such forceful rape happens ?Rape is become a sport to men in India .They dont think about their sisters ,daughters about ?No respect to your neighbour ?Parents should have remained back atleast one to accompany her knowing many rapes happening around in the dark.
