Bantwal: 40-yr-old farm labourer falls off coconut tree to death

Bantwal, Jan 1: A person fell off a tree as he lost balance while plucking coconuts and died in Navoor.
The deceased is identified as Suresh (40), a resident of Navoorsura.

Suresh had been working as a farm labourer for several years plucking coconuts and arecanut. This incident occurred when on one such routine visit to Adarkal Vasantha house in Navoor to pluck coconuts, he accidentally fell off the tree.

He was grievously injured soon after the fall and was rushed to a hospital here. He was then taken to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru as per the doctors advice here. By the time Suresh could reach the hospital he had died and the doctors pronounced him dead.

Bantwal rural police visited the spot of the incident and have registered a case.

    Prabhu mangalore ,sure new methods are there ,but only few can afford it and use it.Very sad .They sometime dont want also to try it ,saying they can old method .May his soul rest in peace .Now problem is who can give the compansation ?Govt.or owner of coconut trees ?Family is left wthout income now.
