Kuwait Spellbound by Brilliant 'Dancing Divas'

Kuwait, May 29: The Dancing Divas school of dance organized their annual Dance Jubilation on Friday May 27 from 7 pm onwards at the Cambridge School Auditorium, Mangaf.
The programme commenced with compere of the day Ashfaq Khan who is also President of Indian Cultural Society (ICS) welcoming the guests. The main sponsors Dr Nuna Goel, Aijaz Ahmed Sarfaraz and Najam Saqeer were escorted to the stage and honoured with bouquets. They were then led by the Guru of the Dancing Divas – Jyothi Patel to light the symbolic lamp.
In a short note by each of the main sponsors Dr Nuna Goel appreciated Jyothi for sparing her valuable time and brining out the hidden talents of the children as well as their mothers and informed that the next time she would be happy to see entire families performing. Aijaz Ahmed Sarfaraz wished Dancing Divas all the success for their show and appreciated the hard work of Jyothi. Najam Saqeer informed that even though Jyothi is in Kuwait she has been trying hard to keep the Indian culture alive through her programmes.
Vidhu P Nair, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of India, Kuwait was welcomed to the stage and honoured with bouquets. He, along with Jyothi Patel, programme co-coordinator Suket Patel and the organizing team, released the souvenir. The new website of Dancing Divas www.the-dancingdivas.com was also released. Vidhu P Nair in his speech informed that ICS is a premier association and has conducting quality programmes depicting Indian Culture.
The programme then followed very smoothly with each dance being one better than the other. The entertainment part consisted of classical dances, songs, filmi dances, orchestra by the students of the dancing divas. The outstanding performer and the 1st student of The Dancing Divas were felicitated with a gift. The compere Ashfaq Khan and Anurag Bajpe were full of humour and quite entertaining.
The Dancing Divas was founded in May 2008. The aim of the first step of the journey was to live the passion of the founder, to teach and leverage the learning to the others. The founder Jyothi Patel herself is an Odissi learned dancer. She has learnt many other forms of dance in stints.
