Udupi: Use of Kemmannu hanging bridge restricted for now

Udupi, Jan 7: The Kemmannu hanging bridge constructed for Timmannakudru villagers during the era of Thonse Mandal Panchayat is being used as a tourist spot.

Citing that the tourists and others have been ignoring the warnings about the bridge that has become weak and dangerous, the Thonse Gram Panchayat in its general meeting, and through a press release has restricted temporarily the movements of people on the bridge and closed it until renovation is completed.
