Beltangady: NCC cadets of Sacred Heart College organize water management programme

Beltangady, Jan 10: NCC cadets of Sacred Heart College Madanthyar organized a programme on water management at Sulkeri Dam on January 9.

Cadets cleaned all the wastes, fibre planks and other materials stuck in dam. Cadets shut the vented dam, allowing residentials to get enough water for irrigational purposes.

The water shed management programme is expected to have a number of benefits for the community like creation of establishment of a more sustainable local water supply. It is hoped that the programme will serve as a model for similar initiatives in other parts of the country. This will include the promotion of water-efficient irrigation system.

NCC ANO Lt Alwyn K G and proffesor Rajesh shetty participated in this social service.
