Five Killed in Beed as Truck Turns Turtle

Beed, May 30 (PTI) Five persons were killed and 19 others seriously injured when a truck turned turtle near Navaga Rajura village, police said today.

The mishap took place as the driver lost control as he was drunk while driving the vehicle, they said, adding that the victims were returning from a marriage.

The deceased were identified as Ramesh Rajendra Jagtap (25), Ravsaheb Limbaji Rupnar (60), Balasaheb Bhanuji Shinde (60), Mahadev Maruti Survase (25) and Kedarnath Rakate (49).

Three out of the 19 injured were sent to Aurangabad in critical condition, they said.
