There seem to be a lot of misconceptions about cannabis. Its a fact that alcohol and tobacco are much more harmful and addictive. In places where its legalised Medical marijuana is used to relieve pain especially in cancer and also acts as an appetite stimulant. Much safer than opium based painkiller.

The media does the job of pulicising the police catching Nigerian drug peddlars who are given Student Visas by the Ministry of External Affairs without checking their background or obtaining an authentic PCC, who in turn then distribute in house drugs to the super rich girls and boys students from Delhi, UP, and Bihar. Further more the government of Karnataka licences liquor shops like fast food joints so the booze too keeps flowing. The root cause is TMA Pai institutions and the greedy government of Karnataka Our judiciary should implement a fast track court and deport all students for life in Karnataka and hang all the drug peddlars if the law wants to kill the trade altogether. BUT this will never happen so long as everybody in this countrys' authorities are on the take and no hard and fast legislation like in Saudi Arabia

If police let go their laziness, hunger for bribe money and work honestly at least 3 days a week, it is not a big task to wipe out ganja and other drugs in mangalore.

Shankaranna..... Fact is they have to listen the politicians through their top officials..... Our police are smart but their hands are tied up. If they get green signal they're going ahead. That's why one one criminal has multiple crimes and up-to the extent of 50 .....and roam on bail...

There is no big mafia behind ganja trade... It is like cottage industry.... Peddlers and growers are a mushrooming community... You catch a few there will be more growing/selling... It is an easily grow able and easily salable commodity in constant demand... Something similar to trying to stop beef trade... Government will never succeed as many of its own network are actively involved in day to day operations...

Uproot the tree first instead cutting the branches.. Mundra port, NE states like channels are still given free access by white colored influenced hidden mafia... Weak law of the land is also one of the core factors inspires drug industry..

Ganja is so commonly smoked by youngsters. Hypocrisy is that it is accepted wen sadhus and sants smoke the same through chillums, and no action being taken. Better to legalise it or it will be money making case for corrupt officials

This trade is supported by govt for huge profit from black money. Govt even extorted money from Bollywood celebrities on peddling and consumption charges. All narcotics supplied from Gujrat ports but no investigation and no stop on that. BJP is doing Supply-Abetment to offence and Punishment policy on its opponents.
