Police Raid District Jail Again, Search for Weapons

Mangalore, Jun 1: Mangalore city police on Wednesday June 1 carried out a raid on the district jail claiming that prisoners who were under trial were in possession of weapons.
However, no weapons were found by the police. The operation was led by Mangalore city sub-division ACP Ravindra Gadadi.
Two mobile phones and one SIM card along with five chargers and four packets of ganja were seized from a prisoner accused in a murder case.
Earlier, on May 18, in another raid operation two packets of ganja and two cell phones were seized by the police.
