Puttur: Accused absconding for four years arrested in Kasargod

Puttur, Jan 21: Sampya police arrested an accused who was absconding without attending court hearing in connection with a crime that occurred in 2019.

Ibrahim Kalandar alias Ibrahim earlier residing at Kalayi in Koila village of Kadaba taluk and presently living near Indian Garage of Kaikamba junction of Uppala village under Manjeshwar of Kasargod district is the person who was caught by the police after four years.

Ibrahim was arrested on January 19 at Kasargod. He is remanded to judicial custody till February 2.

Various cases are registered against the arrested accused in police stations of Puttur city, Uppinangady, Kadaba, Moodbidri and Pandeshwar.
