Mangaluru: Second anniversary of Byari Musicians’ Federation, DK, Udupi celebrated

Mangaluru, Jan 24: Second anniversary of Byari Musicians’ Federation of Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi was held at Sharada school grounds.

The programme was inaugurated by former minister B Ramanath Rai. U B Mohammed, managing director of Sultan Builders and developers presided over the function.

Cricket match for Byari musical artistes, wheel chair distribution for differently abled, felicitation for achievers and cash handover to eligible artistes was done.

Byari Star team lead by Raaz Kalayi emerged as champions for the second time. Kings team led by Sinan Chinnu was the runners up.

Rafik Master, poet and litterateur Hussain Katipalla, Bashir Ahmed Keenya, Ashraf Apollo, Rashid Nandavara, Yasir Yachi and Safwan Pattunji were felicitated.

Prakash Shetty Thumbay, secretary of KPCC was the chief guest. Abdul Samad Samanige, owner of New Smart Electricals, Shameer Mulki, founder president of the organization, Sarfraz Mangaluru, chief secretary, Siddqiue Pandakarakallu, joint secretary, Raaz Kalayi, treasurer and all members were present.

Musical programme for musicians was held.
