Qatar: Telangana Praja Samithi holds blood donation camp

Doha, Jan 24: Telangana Praja Samithi Qatar (TPS Qatar), an associate organisation of ICC under the aegis of the Embassy of India-Qatar, organised a mega blood donation campaign on January 20 in Doha at HMC Blood Donor Center. HMC Blood Donor Unit coordinators conveyed their special appreciation to TPS for arranging a huge number of donors.

Chief guest of the event was Indian ambassador to Qatar, Dr Deepak Mittal. The dignitaries in attendance for this event included Koduru Sivaram Prasad, the chairperson of ICC and others. Dr Deepak Mittal, in his address to gathering, highlighted the significance of blood donation and hailed the community activity of Telangana Praja Samithi Qatar for organizing this event which was helpful for the Indians and other international residents in Qatar. 

Gadde Srinivas, president of Telangana Praja Samithi Qatar, in his welcome address, thanked all the people assembled to donate the blood. He also mentioned that enabling social and cultural atmosphere with strong solidarity facilitates development of an effective blood donor programme.

The campaign was well organised by TPS Qatar and its members as well as community members who lined up to donate blood. A large number of donors attended the camp. Many dignitaries and associate members graced the occasion and donated blood.

The other prominent personalities of TPS who were present during the blood donation, were Surendhar Namala, vice president, Venkatesh Potta, general secretary, Venuprasad Veladhandi, treasurer, Venu Podakanti, joint general secretary, Thirupathi Chenavaneni, advisory committee chairman, Shruthi Upender, cultural secretary, Dharmarju Panchitha, joint general secretary, Srinivas Adula, logistics, Laxman Mandha, logistics and membership coordinator and Ramesh Donakanti, membership coordinator.
