Mangalore: ‘Byari’, Celluloid Dream in Beary Language to Realize on Jun 9

Mangalore, June 4: ‘Byari’ an ambitious project of Thannir Films will be released in Adlabs and Prabhat Theatre on Thursday June 9.
Announcing this at a press conference held here Saturday June 4, Altaf Hussain, producer of the movie said that this is the first ever movie being shot in beary language. The movie was videographed in various parts of the district like Bajpe, Tokkottu including some scenes in Kerala state. The budget has touched Rs 70 lac.
The beary community which has 1,000 years of history have their own language, culture and customs. They are mainly engaged in business as their profession. The theme of the story resembles the misuse of the ‘Talaq’ or divorce law provision in Islam and its consequences on women. Nadira, the protagonist's role in the movie depicts the heart-rending story of any other innocent muslim women, he said.
The story of the movie is not only limited to bearys. It is applicable to all Muslims. The aim of the movie is not to highlight or add voice to the ongoing protest across the world against such merciless laws, but to urge the law experts to take some positive steps to avoid any exploitation of innocent girls, said Riyaz Ahraf, member of the team who has also acted in the movie.
Popular Malayalam actor Mummukoya, Rahim Ucchil, Mazeed, Prajesh, Sudarshan, Sharif Katipalla, Shamsuddin, Kabir Katipalla, Baby Shantha, Mallika, Ambika Mohan, Ashwathi, Roopa Varkady, Asha, Asfiya, KTS Padanna, Althaf Krishnapur, Batthisha Puttur, Annath and Baby Aizin among others have acted in the movie. The story is by Irfan Chokkabettu and dialogue by Ibrahim Tannirbavi. Songs by Shivadas Purameri are sung by Manjari with music by Vishwajith. The movie is directed by Suveeran.
Senior Litterateur Mohammed Badoor among others were present at the press meet.
