Kasargod: Former municipal council, Muslim League district president T E Abdulla passes away

Kasargod, Feb 1: Former president of the municipal council and Muslim League district president T E Abdulla passed away on Wednesday February 1 afternoon. He was 65. He had served as Kasargod municipal council president thrice. He was undergoing treatment at Kozhikode private hospital for the last few days. He had entered politics through student’s organization MSF and was selected as the secretary of Talangere ward Muslim League in 1978.

He had served as the office bearer of Muslim League district and state committee. He was Muslim League district committee president and shouldered other positions. He has been the Muslim League district president since 2018. He served as the Muslim League district president after the death of Cherkalam Abdulla.

T E Abdulla was elected as Kasargod municipal council member in 1988, 2000 and 2005. He served as the member of Kasargod municipal council for 27 years. He was the president of Kasargod municipal council thrice and the council was declared the best municipal council from 2000-2005 in the state.

He was also the general secretary of Kasargod United Muslim Jamat and Malik Dinar Jumaat Masidi committee vice president. He has left behind his wife, four children and a large number of friends are relatives.
