Bantwal resident arrested in Kasargod on charges of sexually assaulting student

Kasargod, Feb 4: A resident of Bantwal was arrested by the Manjeshwar police on sexual assault charges against a student who got introduced to each other via social media.

The arrested accused is Mohammed Ibrahim Toufiq (23), a resident of B C Road in Bantwal. The victim who lives in Manjeshwar police limits got introduced to the accused via Instagram. The accused lured the victim by taking her around to various places before sexually assaulting her.

Based on the information received in the complaint, the police probed the matter and arrested Toufiq in the matter.
