Panaji, Jun 8: A 10-year-old boy was sodomised by an unidentified person in his twenties by taking him into the forest in Saligao village, 10 kms away from here, police said.
The mother of the victim has filed complaint with Calangute police, who has launched a manhunt to nab the unidentified accused.
Police said that the accused, who gave a lift to the boy on his motorcycle, took him to the jungle and had unnatural sex. The medical examination on the boy has confirmed the sexual assault.
Incident happened on Monday evening at 4.40 pm
Police have booked case under Goa Children’s Act, 2003 against unknown accused. Officials said that they are taking help of the victim to identify the accused.
The case of kidnapping under Indian Penal Code (IPC) is also booked against the accused.
