Kaup: Sharath Shetty murder – Police get vital clue, land deal motive?

Kaup, Feb 7: Police have acquired a vital clue in the murder case of Sharath Shetty, who was called on the pretext of having a discussion and stabbed to death at Pangala here.

Some strangers had spoken to Sharath Shetty over phone, who was doing various kinds of works including contracting and land deals.

The police have gathered information about the background of deceased Sharath Shetty. They have intensified investigation into the quarrel that took place two months ago with regards to a land deal. They have increased monitoring around the people who were involved in the quarrel. Many are taken into custody and interrogation is on.

The footage of three people carrying knives on a bike and one walking along was found. The canine squad also sniffed till Alade road and returned. It is suspected that four people are involved in the act.

The mortal remains of Sharath Shetty were brought to his house after post-mortem on Monday evening and final rites were held in the presence of hundreds of people.
