Kuwait, Feb 8: Pamboor Welfare Association Kuwait (PWAK) organized their annual get-together along with a farewell party for their former president Samson Noronha at Chalet Kabad on February 2 and 3.
It was attended by around 35 people including children and guests. The get-together included games, entertainment, food and prizes which were enjoyed by all.
The get-together commenced on Thursday, February 2 by lighting a candle by PWAK committee members and prayer led by Laveena Fernandes and Mary Mendonca.
President Johnson Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Kishore Mendonca and Johnson Fernandes conducted many indoor games. DJ Music for dance and games played by Johan Fernandes. All enjoyed the beautiful solo dance performed by Sweedal Mendonca and Genellie D’Souza. All children including the older celebrated Rishal Maris’s Birthday by cutting cake and wished her happy birthday.
The games and dance went on and then dinner was served, prepared by PWAK members.
On the second day, all the members gathered again for their breakfast. Thereafter, organizers conducted outdoor games played between 2 teams like fixing straws in hair, throw ball, balloon games, dog and the bone, housie-housie.
Prizes were distributed to the winners and gifts were given to kids. Vice president Kishore Mendonca proposed vote of thanks and thanked contributors, sponsors and those who worked hard towards making this picnic a successful one.
At the same venue, PWAK also organized a Farewell Party for its previous president Samson Noronha, who will be leaving Kuwait for good in February month. PWAK members honored Samson by Peta, shawl, fruits and flowers and a letter of honour and thanked him for his service and contribution to PWAK.
Samson in his speech, thanked all the members who accompanied him throughout in his journey and wished the new committee members good luck.

President: Johnson Fernandes / vice president: Kishore Mendonca / secretary: Lavita D’Souza / treasurer: Dony D’Souza / Public Relation officer: Kishore D’Souza. Other Committee members are: Laveena Fernandes, Johnson Martis, Brian D’Souza, Lester Sequeira.
Kishore Mendonca and Laveena Fernandes conducted the whole programme.
