Kundapur, Feb 20: National president of BJP J P Nadda inaugurated a huge gathering of party workers of Bydnoor at Mullikatte Nagucity Maidan, near NH 66 on Monday. He said that the people will not forget the work done by BJP here.

“Helicopter manufacturing unit has started at Tumakuru which will be a model in the country. 75% of the planes for defense will be manufactured in Karnataka which will revolutionise the state. The electrification of the railways has been 100% completed. BJP activists should make those achievements reach houses in the next elections,” he said.

“India has grown to become the fifth economic power leaving behind Britain that ruled India for more than 200 years. India is the only country which has vaccinated close to 100% of its population. Congress said that we are not experimental animals and do not want vaccination but they secretly got themselves vaccinated. India brought back 22,500 students from Ukraine after constant discussions with Zelensky. Out of them 600 students were from Karnataka," he said.

"Forty per cent of digital transactions in the world are happening in our country. Beneficiaries of more than 300 schemes of the government receive Rs 25 lac crore directly into their accounts without middlemen. India has become the pharmacy of the world supplying medicine to 200 countries. 98% of the houses have toilets and drinking water has reached 58% houses,” Nadda said.

“The government of Yediyurappa and Bommai have provided facilities to Dalits, tribals and farmers. Congress party had withdrawn nearly 175 cases of PFI activists and released about 1,600 PFI activists to make Karnataka weak. Congress closed Lokayukta to cover up their corruption. BJP should come back to power to continue the blessings of the union government and continue the work of Yediyurappa and Bommai,” the BJP president said.

BJP national secretary C T Ravi said that BJP will definitely come back to power in the state. “Byndoor MP B Y Raghavendra and MLA Sukumar Shetty have worked hard for the progress of Byndoor. People have rejected the Congress which gave an affidavit that Lord Rama is a fictitious character. The state should be made free from Congress,” he said.

Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Shivamogga MP B Y Raghavendra and Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty spoke. National president J P Nadda was felicitated. Local booth president was honoured. Sundara Byndoor Yojanegalu Nooraru pamphlet was released.

Union minister Shobha Karandlaje, state BJP in-charge Arun Singh, BJP Udupi district president Kuilady Suresh Nayak, MLC Navin K S, Udupi divisional in- charge Udayakumar Shetty, state BJP vice-president Nayana Ganesh, MLA Lalaji R Mendon, BJP district chief secretary Sadananda Uppinakudru, BJP’s Yashpal Suvarna, Kishore Kumar Kundapura, Prakash Poojary Jeddu, Ravi Shettigar Trasi and others were present.

BJP Byndoor Mandala president Deepak Kumar Shetty welcomed. Chief secretary Priyadarshini Devadiga compered the programme.
