Manoj Menezes to lead USWAS-Shirva silver jubilee committee, year-long 'Rupyotsav' planned in Dubai

Dubai, Oct 16: Manoj Menezes has been elected to lead the USWAS-Shirva silver jubilee year committee for 2027. He has been associated with USWAS-Shirva since its inception in 2002 and is one of its founding committee members.

At a recently held meeting, USWAS-Shirva also elected its executive committee members for the silver jubilee year.

USWAS-Shirva is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary, 'Rupyotsav', in 2027. The celebrations will kick off with the silver jubilee curtain raiser and Shirva Fest on Saturday, February 6, 2027, in Dubai.

The highlight of the year will be the grand event, USWAS silver jubilee – 'Rupyotsav', scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2027, at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai. The silver jubilee celebrations will conclude with a finale on Sunday, December 19, 2027, at the church open grounds in Shirva.

A host of programmes and community initiatives have been planned throughout the silver jubilee year to celebrate this milestone and strengthen the spirit of unity, service, and togetherness.

Programme schedule for the silver jubilee year – 2027:

  • January 2027: Foundation stone-laying ceremony for the USWAS silver jubilee house and distribution of equipment at Manasa Rehabilitation & Training Centre, Pamboor.

  • February 6, 2027: USWAS silver jubilee curtain raiser and Shirva Fest, Dubai.

  • March 2027: USWAS silver jubilee cricket trophy, Dubai.

  • April 2027: Blood donation campaign.

  • May 2027: Career guidance and leadership development programme for youth, Shirva.

  • June 2027: Sharan D’Souza memorial scholarship distribution.

  • July 2027: Senior citizens’ day celebration, Shirva.

  • August 2027: Health and medical camp, Shirva.

  • September 2027: Monthi Fest celebration, Dubai.

  • October 2, 2027: USWAS silver jubilee – Rupyotsav grand event at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai.

  • November 2027: Community picnic.

  • December 11, 2027: UPL day-and-night cricket tournament, Shirva.

  • December 19, 2027: USWAS silver jubilee celebration finale at Shirva church open grounds.

  • December 25, 2027: Christmas celebrations at an old-age home and an orphanage.

The year-long celebrations promise to be a memorable milestone in the journey of USWAS-Shirva, honouring its 25 years of service, dedication, and commitment to the community.
