Row over BJP leader C T Ravi entering temples after having non-veg food

Bengaluru, Feb 22 (IANS): Controversy has erupted in Karnataka after BJP MLA and party's national General Secretary C.T. Ravi allegedly entered temples after having non-vegetarian food.

The photos of Ravi eating non-vegetarian food at the residence of BJP MLA Sunil Naik in Uttara Kannada district have gone viral on social media. He had come to Karwar to participate in Shivaji Jayanthi.

It is alleged that Ravi had visited Nag Ban in Bhatkal city and Karibanta Hanuman temple. Bhatkal MLA Naik and committee members of the temples accompanied him.

Ravi is being accused of having violated the sanctity of the temples by visiting them after having non-vegetarian food. Local Congress leaders also targeted him over the issue.

The BJP had made the incident of Congress leader Siddaramaiah entering a temple after having non-vegetarian food during 2018 elections into a major issue, claiming that he did not have any sensitivity towards traditions.

About the present controversy, Ravi has stated on Wednesday that he has been brought up by a traditional Hindu family. "Unlike Siddaramaiah, I won't dare to say that I will enter a temple after eating non-vegetarian food. I am not going to be the victim of the toolkit politics of Congress," he maintained.

All heights of hypocrisy, the BJP says dynasty politics and they have no dynasty politics in the party. But what about our former CM Yediurppa who could not complete a full term even once. Now even Maharashtra CM a partner of BJP also having family in politics son is an MP, but they are not dynasty politics but all others are having dynasty politics.

When you throw murk at others part of it falls on yourselves... This is a non issue... Equation between God and man has nothing to do with food he consumes... What is ultimate purity???... Mind or body???... All perceptions and nothing else... Some humans made few rules and they are unwritten text books.... Same applies to any kind of fasting... It is individual choice and not a matter of pride or self greatness.... By fasting we never get close to God.... At best we may realize the pain of those who can not eat even if they want to....

Ravi has stated on Wednesday that he has been brought up by a traditional Hindu family. " Maybe he & his traditional family above Religion & temples. Although BJP leaders above everything. It's not their mistake they got this energy from people who adore them as their saviours. There is one ancient saying . Don't keep your footwear on your head

I WONDERED WHY THE PRICES OF CERTAIN COMMODITIES IS ALWAYS RISING EVEN AFTER ONLY A "FRACTION" OF THE NATIONAL POPULATION CONSUMES. SO THESE "SECRET" CONSUMERS ARE MAKING IT "EXPENSIVE" FOR US TO PURCHASE OUR "TASTY DELICACIES". PEOPLE PLEASE DECIDE WHAT YOU SHOULD EAT OR NOT ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH AND LET US ENJOY OUR FOOD.

From top to bottom the BJPigs are a bunch of hypocrites, they do not practice what they preach, they are good at fooling the masses and have taken it for granted that majority are fools. Other than the carefully curated Brand Modi the party would have collapsed long back, sooner or later the bubble will burst and truth will come out, as we are seeing of late - majority in Karnataka will choose the lesser evil this time, so BJP is gone.

We have to respect religious sentiments, some places say one should not have non veg food, some require ablutions, some say one should not eat onions ( nonveg with exceptions allowed)before entering religious place ( Sameer,Moshu,Nawaz, am I right) , some have restrictions on dress, celibacy etc etc. Leave this jhanjhat I pray from home as I believe God almighty is omnipresent and omnipotent.

Your sayings are as such "Some school ask this colour uniform, some asks half trousers, some full pants.. Leave this, I won't go to school, will study at home as books are available at home too and can do self study" So will it work?? You have to attend school if you want to get certifications and then getting admission to universities or even to get your job.. Similarly your self rule of praying at home is against the law of God. There is place for each and everything. You can't do potty in bedroom but have to do in toilet. Hope you got my point.

Still there's some difference in these 2 similar cases. In Siddu's case, he himself boasted about having non-veg before visiting temple. His motive in boasting was to appease a section of society. In case of CTR, he was caught red handed. Otherwise nobody would have known about it.
