Ballari, Feb 25: “Karnataka Rajya Barahagarara Sangha Hoovinahadagali has selected senior journalist and author Jayananda Peraje for their Patrakarta Saurabha 2023 state award for 2023,” said state president of the sangha, Madhu Naika Lambani Hoovinahadagali in a press release.
The award will be presented during the state conference at Shivarama Avadhoota ra Ashrama, Hemakoota, Hampi on Feb 26. The programme will be held in the cooperation of Karnataka Chutuku Sahitya Parishat, Vijayanagar district unit.
Jayananda Peraje has been popular as the news reporter for important daily newspapers of Karnataka state at Bantwal for the last 35 years. He entered the profession of journalism as the Bantwal new reporter of Suddi Bidugade weekly newspaper in 1986. He has been working as the taluk reporter of Hosadigantha daily newspaper since 1987. He was known as bold news reporter of Mungaru daily newspaper for three years from 1993. He served as the news editor at Samyukta daily newspaper for five years from 1996. He became popular as Bantwal taluk reporter in Kannada Prabha daily newspaper from 2000 to 2009 for ten years. He has been continuing as the reporter of Hosadigantha daily newspaper subsequent to it. He is currently the editor of Madhu Prapancha, trimonthly magazine of bee cultivation association.
He was the assistant editor of Namma Bantwala newspaper and was active in Jana Ee Dina and Netravati Varthe. He had written articles for Vamsha and Navyavani weekly magazines and was identified as the author.
He was the president of Bantwal taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat and JCI Jodumarga Netravati Junior chamber, JCI state trainer and JCI national judge. He is currently the president of Senior chamber International Bantwal Netravati Sangama.
