Mumbai, Jun 15: Four men belonging to underworld elements Chhota Shakeel gang have been detained in the murder of journalist J Dey. Dey was shot dead at Powai, a suburb of Mumbai, on Saturday afternoon. So far, there have been no leads in the case, even as journalists have demanded a CBI probe in the case.

Initial information says that all the men were connected with sandalwood, oil and diesel smuggling.
The four men are being interrogated by the special squad of the Mumbai police and have been identified as Mateen, Iqbal Hateyla and Bobby.
Dey was shot outside a mall close to his home in the suburban Powai area of the city. According to police, four motorcycle-borne men fired at Dey.
Dey was considered to be arguably India's best-connected writer on the Mumbai underworld.
