Bantwal, Mar 1: “The elections for Karnataka Vidhan Sabha in 2023 will be my last one,” said former minister, KPCC vice president B Ramanath Rai.
Speaking in the news conference at Bantwal block Congress office on Wednesday, he said that he lost elections last time due to false propaganda. “Now that the people have realized it, I am confident that they will bless me this time,” he said.
“The people of Bantwal have made me MLA six times and I have to repay their debt. I cannot do politics selling property. I never speak lies,” he said.
“The current elections will be contested on the subjects of unemployment and price rises. Siddaramaiah had brought about several pro people schemes when he was the chief minister and the party has fulfilled its promises.
