Mangaluru: Head constable suspended for dereliction of duty

Mangaluru, Mar 3: Srilatha, head constable of Pandeshwar police station was suspended by city police commissioner for dereliction of duty.

Srilatha was on official duty on a Hoysala patrol vehicle near Clock Tower in the city.

She went in a private vehicle on duty, which is against the rules of the department.

A complaint was received by the city police commissioner in this regard on February 23. She was suspended from duty from February 28 pending inquiry as per the information provided by DCP Anshukumar.

    why is this story covered ? where did she go? looks like someone wanted to tarnish her image a number govt. servants get suspended for one or the other reason. why all those are not covered. More over this story in incomplete

    k.b.r mangalore .now you know the difference between a foto and real one.However for this petty reason dismiss is not required.Unless she made a serious fault .One warning would be enough for the first time.Looks like someone has a eye for her post or personal grudge because she is a woman?on that post?

    Departmental jealousy must have prompted other cops to complain seizing the opportunity.... We don't know the full story yet but this does not seem like a mistake enough calling for suspension.... They could have left her with a verbal warning....
