Hyderabad, Jun 19 (PTI) Accusing the Centre of delaying a decision on the demand for a separate Telangana state, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao today said the patience of the people in the region should not be tested.
"I appeal to the Prime Minister sincerely, don't trouble the Telangana people by delaying the decision. He should implement the promise he made in Parliament and start the official process for formation of Telangana immediately," he said.
Rao warned that if the decision on the vexed separate statehood issue was delayed people would agitate "in a big way" and there were possibilities of "unnatural developments."
"If patience runs out, there will be unnatural developments. The violent incidents that took place during the 1969 pro-Telangana agitation may happen again. We want to achieve Telangana by peaceful means. Centre should not create troubles," he said.
