New Delhi, Jun 20: Daijiworld has reportedly learnt that, BJP top brass have offered some greater responsibility to Gopinath Munde in a bid to mend the so-called rift between Mumbai senior BJP leader and national BJP cheif Nitin Gadkari.
The long meeting held between the top BJP leaders and Munde ended without reaching a point of compromise as Maharashtra BJP observer and Rajya Sabha member Venkaih Naidu and Ananth Kumar failed to convince Gopinath Munde.
The supposed 'revolt' banner erupted with Nitin Gadkari appointed his loyalist as chief of BJP Pune unit, sidelining the Munde supported candidate.
The meeting held until late Sunday June 19 night, is expected to resume later of the day on Monday June 20.
Naidu has described this as not a 'serious' issue and claimed that it will be sorted out within the party soon.
Reportedly, some BJP leaders at New Delhi too are in favour of changing the Pune BJP chief Vikas Mathkari and replacing Munde loyalist Yogesh Gogawale. If it happens, this will be a big setback to Gadkari, who is trying to take full control of the party.
Recent re-inclusion of Uma Bharathi to BJP is also not a smooth decision, but mainly initiated by the Gadkari, it is learnt.
