Doha, Mar 19: Mangalore Cricket Club, Qatar, fondly known world over as MCC Qatar, with the huge success of Mangalorean Sports Day is once againgearing up with another Varadolevel variety Cultural competitions to bring all Mangaloreans together. This will coincide and celebrated on Monthi Fest in Qatar on September 15 at DPS Monarch International School at Al-Wukair.
MCC is inviting all Mangalorean Christian Community to unite at Varado levels once again like the 8 Varadosthat participated at Mangalorean Sports day event held last month, to participate in Variety Cultural Competitions. The competition will include 15 minutes skits, comedy, singing and dancing and will carry attractive prizes. This is an advance information so you can form teams, plan and register for the event.
Recently, MCC organized annual Mangalorean day with sports and games competitions at Varado levels and was widely appreciated by all Mangaloreans. To keep with the momentum and the spirit of uniting all Mangaloreans together, MCC committee has decided to organize Variety Cultural Competitions at Varado level so all can come forward and exhibit their various talents.
Besides cultural activities, we will celebrate Monthi Fest away from home as a big Mangalorean family with traditional home cooked Monti-fest dinner.
Ever since its inception in 1992, MCC has celebrated Monti-fest with pomp and fervor year after year. Though few then, the founder members of MCC along with guests were celebrating the Harvest Feast in honor of Mother Mary even before MCC took form. Mother Mary was the guiding spirit. And it is this guiding spirit that did not let us close our activities and Monthi Fest celebrations during the worst pandemic of the century, Covid-19. MCC alone staged mega events like Global Baila Dance competition, Global comedy skit competition (both in association with Mandd-Sobhan) to unite and keep in touch with one’s own talents for the Mangalorean Catholics spread world over.
