Udupi: Man arrested for abusing, posing life threat to railway police personnel

Udupi, Mar 27: A man, passenger on Mangaluru Central-Lokmanya Tilak express general coach, was arrested by railway police at the railway station here for abusing and threatening with life railway police personnel on duty.

The arrested accused is Sameer Biwaje Shindu. Zeena Pinto, a constable of Konkan railway was on duty at the railway station and received a call that some people are creating ruckus in the general coach of Lokmanya Tilak express train. When Zeena went near the compartment with constable Srikant, the public and TTE held Sameer, who was creating ruckus.

Sameer tore the memo given by TTE and abused Zeena Pinto and her colleague Srikant with profanity. When Sameer was taken to railway office at the station, he threatened inspector also. He was immediately taken into custody and a case is filed at Manipal police station.
