Bantwal: Vittal police seize unaccounted cash from car

Bantwal, Mar 27: The Vittal police seized a car with lacs of rupees in cash without any documentation during an operation at Medu in Salethtur village.
The car was stopped and checked by staff of Vitla SI Sandeep Shetty while on duty for the Karnataka state election.

During the inspection, the car, which was heading towards Bakrabailu from Salethur, was found to contain three bundles of 100 notes each of Rs 500 denomination, amounting to a total of Rs 1,50,000. The cash was located on the car's dashboard and belonged to the driver, Basheer.

Upon inquiry, the police could not find any documents for the money and, as a result, seized both the cash and the car.
