Mumbai: Adarsh Case - Now Maps, Survey Sheets Go Missing

Mumbai, Jun 25: The two-member commission probing the Adarsh scam were in for a shock when land records official here in thencity told that maps and certain survey sheets from 1872-1960 pertaining to Adarsh land and other lands surrounding Colaba areas have gone missing.

Sanjay Dikhle, superintendent of City Survey and Land Records was cross examined by the team on Friday June 24. Senior advocate Dipan Merchant, representing the inquiry panel, informed that historical map of 1847 among others were "not available" in his office. It was a prime document as in it would have proved whether the Adarsh plot existed at the time.

However, survey maps of 1872 are available, he added.

This is the fourth instance of key files related to Adarsh case reported missing.
