Bantwal: Man falls from coconut tree, dies

Bantwal, Mar 29: A man lost balance, fell from a coconut tree and died while plucking coconuts at Markkini, Kepu village here.

The deceased is identified as Prakash Naik K (54), a resident of Renjamoole, Enmakaje village, Manjeshwar taluk.

Ajith Kumar, the son of the deceased in the police complaint to Vittal police station stated that his father fell from the coconut tree while plucking coconuts in the house of a private person at Marakkini, Kepu village here and he died on the way to Vittal community health centre.

A case in this connection is registered at Vittal police station.

    Very sad.Who can now be made responsible for his death ?Many times people slip and die when plucking coconuts.They can atleast secure themselves by some belts or so that dont fall down immediately but remain secure at the tree.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.
