Udupi: CMC warns of disconnecting supply if drinking water is misused

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (JS/EP)

Udupi, Mar 29: The Udupi municipal council has issued a warning on March 29, that the water supply to the area could be disconnected without notice and fines would be imposed if the water was used for anything other than drinking.

This announcement comes as the quantity of water in Baje dam, which supplies Udupi with water, has fallen to critically low levels due to increasing demand.

The municipal council has released a press statement urging residents to conserve water and refrain from using it to water plants or wash vehicles.
