Bantwal, Mar 29: The election commission announced the date of the Karnataka Vidhan Sabha elections and imposed the code of conduct throughout the state on Tuesday, March 29.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik promptly had his name plate removed from his car in compliance with the directive.

The elections are scheduled for May 10, with the results to be announced on May 13.

During this time, MLAs and ministers are not allowed to utilize government facilities or make new announcements.
