Mumbai, Jun 27: In a shocking incident, over 300 youngsters aged between 20 and 25, including a police officer, were detained by the police near Raigad district for engaging in a rave party. A sizable quantity of drugs was also recovered from the place. The incident took place late on Sunday, June 26 night.

Ironically, the incident happened on the World Anti-Narcotics Day.

The police officer who was present along with the youths reportedly belongs to the anti-narcotics department. Police are now investigating his links with the party and the packets of drugs that were seized during the raid.

"It is shocking that such a big number of youngsters, including over 120 girls, were engaged in a rave party. A thorough investigation will be conducted, and we will expose the racked behind this," said the police officer speaking to a news agency.

The party was running at the Mount View at Karjat, about 100 km from Mumbai.
