Mumbai, Jun 27: ‘Shodha’ is a book containing a collection of stories by Gangadhar Paniyoor, which has been blessed by the deity of Paniyoor temple, and has all the qualities for the author to become a success. It is advisable to read folk stories to author great stories as they are free from ambition, cunningness, and are honest. Mythological scriptures such as Ramayana and Mahabharata have the human qualities of lust, love, envy, and treachery. The reading of such scriptures will enable to conceive great ideas in the mind,” said veteran critic V Ga Nayak.
Nayak was speaking at the function held to release the book which is the second such collection of stories by Paniyoor, an up and coming author, held at Karnataka Sangh auditorium, Matunga (West) here on Saturday June 25. The book has been was published by metro-based Abhijit Publication in association with Karnataka Sangh.
Nayak added that the book has great qualities of humanity and exemplifies devotion to Paniyoor temple deity.
Renowned litterateur Kumara Joshi, after releasing the book, said that the sensitivity of the author towards humanity will quality the book for awards.
‘Akshaya’ monthly bulletin honorary editor M B Kukyan, editor Eshwar Alevoor, veteran litterateur Shimunje Parari, B S Kurkal, Meenakshi Gangadhar, Kartik Gangadar, Venkatesh Paniyoor, Sa Daya, Mohan Marnad, Sai Ballal, S G Burude, Y Nagesh, G T Acharya, Ashok Suvarna, and G P Kusuma were present on the occasion.
Abhijit Publication proprietor Dr G N Upadhya welcomed the gathering. Susheela Devadiga rendered the prayers. Karnataka Sangh honorary chief secretary Dr Bharat Kumar Polipu delivered the introductory address. Harish K Hejamady compered the programme.
