Beltangady: Car with Ujire GP president, family falls into deep gorge in Charmadi

Beltangady, Apr 9: A car carrying gram panchayat president Pushpavathi R Shetty fell into a 100 feet deep gorge in Charmadi Ghat second curve after the driver lost control over the vehicle on Sunday, April 9 evening.

The family was travelling in the car from Kottigehara to Ujire when the accident occurred. Pushpavathi, her daughter Poornima Shetty, grandson Samrudh and relative Sarojini Shetty sustained injuries in the mishap. It is said that someare seriously injured.

The injured were shifted to Sri Krishna Hospital by Sri Krishna Yogakshema ambulance. After first aid they were shifted to a hospital Mangaluru.
